Quick tips for beating each AI style

    • Fish — bet for value, don't bluff. They will call you down.
    • Rock — steal blinds from late position and fold to big bets.
    • Maniac — widen your calling range and pick them off with bluff-catchers.
    • TAG — avoid them on wet boards when you're out of position.
    • Shark — play straightforward. Bluffs won't pay.

A four-session practice plan using this table

The table settings on this page — opponent count, blinds, starting stack and a style per seat — are the only variables you need. Change one variable per session and keep everything else fixed, otherwise you cannot tell what caused the result.

    1. Session 1 — heads-up against a Rock: One opponent, Rock style, standard stack. Goal: open wider from the button than feels comfortable and fold to their big bets. You are training blind-steal frequency, nothing else. Write down how many times you were re-raised.
    2. Session 2 — three-handed against two Maniacs: Two opponents, Maniac style. Goal: stop bluffing entirely and call more. Every hand you win should be won by showing cards. This session teaches bluff-catching and shows why an aggressive bot is not the same as a strong one.
    3. Session 3 — full table, mixed seats: Five to seven opponents with Fish, Rock, TAG and Maniac seats mixed. Goal: play position, not cards. Track your decisions by seat and use a tighter opening range from the earliest positions, then note how that changes the outcome.
    4. Session 4 — short stacks against the Shark: Reduce the starting stack or raise the blinds so the stack-to-pot ratio stays low, and add a Shark seat. Goal: practise clean all-in and side-pot spots in a virtual setting.

What to review after every session

    • Hands you folded preflop from late position.
    • Every pot where you put in the last big bet: did you have a value hand, or were you bluffing a bot that never folds?
    • All-in hands — reconstruct whether the pot odds justified the call, using the odds calculator below.
    • One hand you are unsure about. One is enough; reviewing twenty in a row teaches nothing.

You can reuse the same table configuration across sessions to compare results while drilling one decision at a time. Chips are virtual and there is no real-money play here.

    Frequently asked questions

How do I play Texas Hold'em vs AI for free?

Open the "Play Poker vs AI" page, choose NLH (Texas Hold'em), set the number of opponents (up to 7 bots), blinds, stack and an AI style per seat, then hit "Start". The game runs in the browser with no download and no real money — virtual chips only.

What are the 5 Hold'em AI styles?

Fish — loose, calls almost anything, rarely raises. Rock — very tight, plays only premium hands. TAG — tight and aggressive, builds pots with value. Maniac — loose-aggressive, bluffs often. Shark — balanced, GTO-leaning play with value and bluff ranges.

Does the AI understand position, SPR and 3-bet ranges?

Yes. The engine accounts for position (BTN, CO, HJ, blinds), stack-to-pot ratio, premium hands, 3-bet and 4-bet ranges, street-based sizings, and reactions to check-raises and donk bets. The Shark tries to balance value and bluff ranges.

Why should I train vs AI before real games?

Playing vs AI lets you focus on decisions without financial pressure, spot leaks in opening ranges, and get used to common pressure spots — 3-bet pots, preflop all-ins, single-raised pots out of position — before moving to real ClubGG tables.

    Is it mobile-friendly?

Yes. The table is optimized for portrait (100dvh), with thumb-sized action buttons, animated cards and a clear pot display. No download — it runs in Chrome / Safari / Edge on mobile.

    Is the game completely free?

Yes. It's free, with no initial signup and no deposit. All chips are virtual and non-convertible. After 3 hands we ask for a phone number to continue playing and to notify you about ClubGG tournaments.
