Why crypto became the standard for online poker
Two trends converged: wide availability of USDT and BTC in Israel (Bit2C, Binance, Bits of Gold), and growing frustration with slow, expensive bank transfers. The result — 2026 is the year crypto became the most popular deposit route for serious poker players.
The coins you need to know
Not every cryptocurrency is a good fit for poker. The practical shortlist is short:
- USDT TRC-20 — stable against the dollar, tiny fee, fast confirmation. The choice of most Israelis.
- BTC — the global standard, accepted everywhere, but volatile.
- USDC — a transparent alternative to USDT.
- LTC — fast and cheap, less platform support.
- ETH — expensive fees, not recommended for poker.
How it works on GGPoker.co.il
The Israeli club (Club ID 354141) is free-to-play with virtual currency. Loading funds is done through the agent, who accepts every method, including USDT/BTC. A WhatsApp message, agreeing on an amount, a wallet address, sending, and crediting within minutes.
Real cost — a comparison
Loading $200:
- USDT TRC-20: network fee under $1, credited within 10 minutes.
- BTC: network fee $2–$6, credited within 20–40 minutes.
- Bank transfer: fee of ₪20–60, credited within 1–3 business days.
- Credit card: provider fee (2%–4%), credited instantly.
Mistakes you must avoid
Sending on the wrong network (ERC-20 instead of TRC-20) means the funds are lost. Typing an address manually is pure risk. Sending to an unverified agent risks fraud. Always: copy-paste, verify the network, send a test amount, and keep the TXID on record.
The recommended route for your first time
1. Open a Bit2C or Binance account and complete KYC. 2. Buy 200 USDT with shekels. 3. Contact the GGClub agent on WhatsApp. 4. Ask for a USDT TRC-20 address. 5. Send a $20 test amount first. 6. After confirmation, send the rest. 7. Within fifteen minutes — you are playing.
